Juanita P. Casillas

Juantia Casillas photoSan Benito, TX – Juanita P. Casillas, 73, of San Benito, passed away January 25, 2011 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born February 8, 1937 in San Benito to Ernesto and Matilde G. Peña. She was a loving housewife.

Left behind to cherish her memory are five sons: Lorenzo (Lupe) of Manor; Jose L. (Enedina) of The Colony; Ines (Lydia) of Bishop; Ricardo of The Colony; Michael (Lynelle) of Austin. Two daughters: Maria Helena (Hilario) López of Arlington and Carmelita P. Casillas of Dallas. Four brothers: Baltazar (Elisa) Peña Sr. of San Benito; Pablo (Oralia) Peña of Harlingen; Juan Peña of Petaluma, CA; Carlos (Rosie) Peña of Greeley, CO. One sister, Angelita Quesada of San Benito. Other survivors include eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is now reunited in heaven with her parents, her sister Hilda Cantú, her loving husband Isidro, two infant daughters, Ida and Veronica, and one infant son Michael.

Friends are cordially invited to visitation with the family on Thursday, January 27, 2011 from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home.

Mass of resurrection will be celebrated on Friday, January 28, 2011 at 10 a.m. at St. Theresa Catholic Church in San Benito. Committal services will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park.
