San Benito, TX- Ricardo Trevino, Jr., 38, entered into Heaven’s embrace on Sunday, May 29, 2011 surrounded by his loving family at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, TX.
He was an amazing man who touched the hearts of those that knew him. He was a funny man who was always joking around. Before dropping off his son at school, he would stop at Kountry Korner for breakfast and conversation. He was a nice, caring husband, father, son, and brother and always made time for his family. He will be greatly missed. Wherever life takes us, he will always be in our hearts.
For ten years, he worked for South Texas ISD as a teacher’s aide for Mr. Galvan. He was also employed with Frank’s Cakes for five years, as well as San Benito News for five years. He was currently employed with San Benito ISD in the maintenance department.
He is preceded in death by his father, Ricardo Trevino; and one sister, Melissa Trevino.
Left to cherish his memories is his loving wife of 14 years, April Trevino; his children: Ricardo Trevino III, Ashley Danielle Trevino, Christy Deann Calhoun, and Leticia Maria Calhoun; his mother, Yolanda Hernandez Corral (Dolores); brothers: Emilio, Ruben, Jacinto, Albert, Juan, Raymond, Angel; and other relatives.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 1, 2011 from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM, with a prayer service to be held at 7:00 PM, at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito.
A chapel service will be held Thursday, June 2, 2011 at 10:00 AM at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home. Interment will follow at San Benito City Cemetery.
