Ignacio G. Agado

Ignacio G. AgadoIgnacio G. Agado, age 93, a resident of Edinburg, Texas and a former resident of San Benito, Texas passed away on Wednesday July 20, 2011 in Edinburg.

He was born on March 15, 1918 in San Benito, Texas to Juan Agado and Amalia Garcia Agado.

Mr. Agado was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

He was preceded in death on February 11, 2011 by his beloved wife, Mrs. Guadalupe C. Agado; his parents; three brothers, Jose Agado, Feliberto Agado and Daniel Agado; and four sisters, Juanita Martin, Concepcion Gonzalez, Dolores Lara and Adela Cervantes.

He is survived by three daughters, Gloria Agado, Guadalupe Agado and Yolanda Agado, all of Edinburg, Texas; son, Ignacio (Judy) Agado, Jr. of Sanger, Texas; two brothers, Manuel (Guadalupe) Agado of San Benito, Texas and Juan (Leticia) Agado, Jr. of Harlingen, Texas; two sisters, Manuela Garcia of Harlingen, Texas and Amelia (Felipe) Gonzales of San Benito, Texas; two grandchildren, Ignacio (Dana) Agado III of Fort Worth, Texas and Melissa May of Krum, Texas; and three great-grandchildren, Erin May, Nigel May and Ignacio Agado IV.

Rosary was recited at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, July 22, 2011 at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel, Kingsville, Texas. Funeral mass was celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 23, 2011 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, Kingsville, Texas with Fr. Peter Thenan as celebrant. Burial followed in Kingsville at Chamberlain Cemetery with full military honors provided by the Veterans of Kleberg County Military Funeral Detail. Services were entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
