Trinidad or Trine as she was known to her family and friends was raised and lived all her life in San Benito. She was a very giving person. She donated a lot of her time to St. Benedict Catholic Church by helping in the church festivals and cleaning the church. In her earlier days in the church she would make the communion hosts. She was a devout Catholic who never missed Sunday 6:30 a.m. mass. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Society. Grandma Trina as she was known to her grandchildren enjoyed cooking for everyone. Sundays she cooked her traditional meal for lunch, “caldo” (soup). Whenever she cooked, it was to share with neighbors and family. Trine also enjoyed sewing and she made plenty of blankets for family members. But her biggest hobby was her plants. She thoroughly enjoyed working on her yard everyday. Trine never knew any strangers because no matter where she was, she would strike up conversations with anyone sitting next to her.

Many thanks to Atrium Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, and their wonderful and caring staff. Also thank you to Bee First Home Health Center for taking great care of her while she was at home. Thank you to Mage Contreras, her home health provider. And a special thank you to Lola Martinez who was there with her at all hours as needed.
