Alberto Medina HernandezSAN BENITO, TX—Alberto “Beto” Medina Hernandez, 74, passed away peacefully at his residence on Monday, September 12, 2011.

He was preceded in death by his parents Guadalupe and Maria Hernandez, wife Refugia Hernandez, sons Ruben Hernandez and Rene Hernandez, brothers Castulo Hernandez and Raymond Hernandez.

He is survived by one son Reynaldo Hernandez; one daughter Minerva Rubio; sisters Eusebia Leal, Manuela Guerra; one brother Pilar Hernandez (Virginia); sister-in-laws Marina Hernandez and Emma Hernandez who was his caretaker for nine years; two granddaughters, numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Beto worked for Woolco as a mechanic for 20 years and he loved his pet Chihuahuas. He also served his country for two years in the Army in Korea. He will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him.

Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. at Henry Thomae Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 13, 2011. Chapel services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at Henry Thomae Funeral Home at 701 N. Bowie, San Benito with full military honors.
