Paula Margarita Villanueva

Paula Margarita Villanueva, 77, of San Benito, TX, entered into eternal rest on Monday, November 21, 2011 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Paula was born on July 18, 1934 in San Benito, TX to Catarino and Carolina Villanueva. She was a devoted member of St. Benedict Catholic Church, the Sacred Heart church group, and of the Altar Society. She opened the doors every day at 5:30 a.m. for the parishioners and donated plants every year for the bazaar festivals. She will be dearly missed.

She is preceded in death by her three sons: Guadalupe Palomino, Gilberto Palomino, Jr. and George Palomino.

She is survived by her son, Frank Villanueva Palomino; and her daughter, Noemi P. Barbosa; her grandson, Angel Barbosa, Jr.; and her very dear friend, Lourdes Cavazos.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 22, 2011 from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a holy rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito.

Mass of resurrection will be held on Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Benedict Catholic Church in San Benito. Committal service will follow at San Benito City Cemetery.
