Charlotte A. Soens, 87, originally from Hinckley, MN, born May 25, 1924, passed away on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at Valley Baptist Medical Center due to heart complications from the previous day.
Charlotte is a very loved person by all of her family and friends. She was also a very generous and loving person. She will be greatly missed by everyone.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Lyon Soens (Dick); her sisters: 11-month old Jeannean Baldwin, Loretta Guthrie and her brother Leroy Baldwin.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her son, Richard Charles (Kathy) Soens; her daughter, Rosalie Annette (Stephen) McKinney; her sisters: Violetta Rootkie, Roberta Perry, Geneva Allee and her brothers: Gerald Baldwin and Doug (Roberta) Baldwin. She is also survived by her 10 grandchildren: Tammy (Jim) Karels, Suzanne (David) Fagerstrom, Joanne (Lance) Wiborg, Monica (Lance Jr.) Bebensee, Marty (Heidi) Soens; Wendy (Bruce) LaFave, Wanda (Richard) Whitworth, Connie Andersen, Carrie Roberts, Shawn (Pam) McKinney, and Shanna (Seth) Pickett. Also, 24 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren and many nephews, nieces, other extended members and many dear friends.
Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Kingdom Hall of Jehova Witness, 201 W. Loop 499, Harlingen, with Kevin Barkley officiating.
