Two Harlingen women, a mother and daughter, were arrested July 11 for allegedly assaulting and robbing a female.

San Benito Police Detective Rogelio Banda said in a press release that 38-year-old Donna Guzman and her 17-year-old stepdaughter, Samantha R. Guzman, were arrested in connection to the crime.

According to the report, at 11:27 p.m. San Benito police responded to a trucking company on the 3000 block of E. Business 77 in reference to a disturbance among females. The victim claimed she had arrived at that location with her boyfriend, and when she got out of the truck she was allegedly confronted by Donna Guzman, who was identified as her boyfriend’s wife.” Banda added later, “The husband realized he was being followed and pulled over, where his wife was waiting.”
