They are going to raise taxes to fix streets? Why don’nt they start with the city drainage first. They have started some drainage fixing along McCoullough street I have seem that area flooded when it rains I also have seeen areas around the Ponciana St and neighboring areas get flooded after heavy rains. Citizens should get together and instruct city commisoners where to start spending your tax dollars to fix the drainage problems. It’s like giveing your kids thier allowances but makeing sure it goes to neccessities . It’s your money folks!!!

What part of “we are in bad economic times” does this group not understand!! I do not care if it has been since the 90′s since we have seen a tax increase. We elect these people do to a job and all they do is worry about a plaque and now raise our taxes. SHAMEFUL!!

Instead of taxes what happen to the grants out there to fix city streets?. Are the commisoners thinking about temporatry street fixes pot holes never go away they seem to always come back. The pot holes in the people pockets afater paying more taxes lasts for ever. Quick fixes quick money making tax increases don’nt seem quite the same does it?
