Eloisa G. Sauceda, 92 of San Benito, Texas, went to be with Our Lord on Thursday, December 12, 2013 at her residence in San Benito, TX.

Eloisa loved music and dancing. She was known for making the best tortillas. Eloisa was the matriarch of the family. She was a strong, loving, and dedicated mother who was always there for her family and will be dearly missed.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 44 years, Bernardo Sauceda, Sr. and a son, Bernardo Sauceda, Jr.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: Alicia (Jose) Mesa, Maria Angela Gonzales, Reynaldo (Virginia) Sauceda, Gloria (Enrique) Gaona, Juan (Lesvia) Sauceda, Janie (Tony) Garza, and Estella (Joe) Gonzales; a daughter-in-law, Frances (+Bernardo Jr.) Sauceda; 27 grandchildren, 58 great-grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren; a sister, Lile Jaime; a brother, Ramiro Garza; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 15, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a holy rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito.

Chapel service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 16, 2013 at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home. Interment will follow to Mont Meta Memorial Park.

Serving as pallbearers are Lisandra Sauceda Flores, Jose Mesa, Sr., Juan Sauceda, Rene Gonzales, Pedro Sauceda, Jose Gonzales, Jr., Tony Garza, Jr., and Jose Mesa, Jr.

We would like to extend a very special thank you to our sister, Alicia for all her loving and compassionate care for our mother. Also, a special thanks to her caregivers Elvira Mancillas and Maria De La Luz Mancillas.

    My brother and I are sorry to hear about your mother’s death. Our thoughts and prayer are with you. I remember she was my Grandmother’s, Zenida Landeros, friend and neighbor. You were all blessed to have your Mother in your lives.
