SBHS cheerleader pleads no contest in assault case

gavelAlexandria Hernandez’ municipal court case is all but closed as the 17-year-old San Benito High School cheerleader accused of assault has been placed on deferred adjudication.

Assistant Operations Chief Michael Galvan of the San Benito Police Department said that Hernandez plead no contest during a court hearing presided over by municipal judge Benjamin Yudesis at the SBPD station on Friday, Jan. 24. According to Galvan, the term of the deferred adjudication is 30 days.

“She can’t get in any trouble for 30 days, and if she does she’ll be found guilty,” Galvan said.
