IN GOOD FAITH: The Wisdom of God

Do you have a situation in your life that seems insurmountable? The Bible has the answer. Are you facing a problem that seems to have no answer? The Bible provides real solutions. Do you have questions to life’s challenges? The Bible can give you a blueprint to the maze of life. You may ask, “How can the Bible do all of this for me?” The answer is simple. The Bible contains the perfect, timely, complete, thorough wisdom of God who created the foundations of the world!

“But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him,” James 1:5 NASB. How about that?!?! The God of all creation is ready, willing, and able to give you the wisdom from Heaven that you need for the questions you have! God wants to generously give you His perfect wisdom! Exciting isn’t it?!? You bet it is!

Your next question may be: What will this wisdom look like to me? Good question!

“But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, unwavering, without hypocrisy,” James 3:17 NASB. The wisdom that comes from God reflects His character. It reflects His nature. It always reflects His heart. Isn’t it wonderful to know that God has wisdom for us that is pure? It is not perverted or unholy. His perfect wisdom brings us perfect peace.

The wisdom of God is reasonable. Do you ever get tired of dealing with unreasonable people who make things so difficult? God wants to reason with us through His wisdom! When you need counsel from someone does it come out cruel? Does it begin with, “I told you so!” God’s wisdom found in the Bible is full of mercy! How about that? The God who wrote the Bible by the power of his Holy Spirit wants to extend mercy to us. That is great news isn’t it?!

“How blessed is the man who finds wisdom and the man who gains understanding. For her profit is better than the profit of silver and her gain better than fine gold. She is more precious than jewels; and nothing you desire compares with her. Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor. Her ways are pleasant ways and all her paths are peace. She is a tree of life to those who take hold of her, and happy are all who hold her fast,” Proverbs 3:13-18 NASB.

This is the kind of wisdom that God has to offer in the Bible. It is wisdom that profits our lives – it has more value than silver and gold! Nothing compares to this wisdom. Do you want a long life that is pleasant, peaceful and brings financial safety? Then the wisdom from heaven you need is found in the Bible. It is God’s manual of life that teaches us what no others can.

“By wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established; and by knowledge the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches. A wise man is strong, and a man of knowledge increases power. For by wise guidance you will wage war, and in abundance of counselors there is victory,” Proverbs 24:3-6 NASB.

Do you want to build a house, a home that can stand up to the storms of life? Then the wisdom you need is found in the Bible. Do want the rooms for your family to be filled with safety and pleasantness? Then the wisdom you need to have is found in the Bible. Do you want to have the power of God to stand up to the trials of life? Then the wisdom you need is found in the Bible.

God promises to be our Counselor in a time of war. God promises the victory when we build our lives on His perfect wisdom. Do you know where to find all of this perfect, timeless, unchangeable, unchallengeable wisdom? It is in the Bible. Seek the wisdom of God and you will discover His amazing love for you.
