Reynaldo Carrizales

Reynaldo Carrizales, Sr., 65, of San Benito… and the cowboy rides away…through the pearly gates and into the kingdom of Heaven. Rey passed away on Monday, January 12, 2015 surrounded by his loving family and friends.
Born in San Benito to Guadalupe Carrizales and Andrea V. Carrizales, living all his life in San Benito, Ray will ride in the grandest eternal trail ride of all. He was a kind, loving, and caring husband, son, brother, father, grandfather, and friend, who had a passion for the outdoors, especially horses and riding. Ray loved trail riding with family and friends, always smiling, laughing, and joking around. He loved to joke around with his older grandsons and enjoyed caring for the younger grandchildren. He will be truly and greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his father, Guadalupe Carrizales; and his sister, Elva Perales.
He is survived by his mother, Andrea Carrizales; his wife, Rebecca Candelas Carrizales; two sons: Reynaldo (Candy) Carrizales, Jr. and Lionel (Sofie) Carrizales; three daughters: Amelia Rae (Rudy Mendoza) Carrizales, Cynthia Rae (Juan) Olivarez, and Ray Lynn (Leeroy Martinez) Carrizales; two brothers, Guadalupe (Liz) Carrizales and Marcelino (Daisy+) Carrizales; four sisters: Aurora Villanueva, Candelaria Galvan, Dora Galvan, and Angie C. Barrera (Carlos Aguilar); eight grandsons: Reynaldo (Cristina) Carrizales III, Aaron Carrizales, CJ Carrizales, Christian Carrizales, Isaac Carrizales, Jayden Mendoza, Michael and Jason Olivarez; five granddaughters: Harlie Rae Carrizales, Emily Rae Rivera, Sophie Martinez, Sara and Lyla Olivarez; two great-grandchildren, Lola Reyanne Carrizales and RJ Salinas; and numerous nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. Happy Trails to you Dad, Apa, (Papi)…until we meet again… A special thanks to VBMC Hospice for the care and support.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 15, 2015 from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m., at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas.
A chapel service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 16, 2015 at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral procession will follow to Mont Meta Memorial Park where Reynaldo will be laid to rest.
Serving as pallbearers are Andy Avila, Lionel Carrizales, Aaron Carrizales, Ray Carrizales III, Marcy Carrizales, Jay Carrizales. Serving as honorary pallbearer is C.J. Carrizales.
