Future of City’s pool uncertain

As the sun slowly starts to reemerge from the lingering clouds, warming up the residents of San Benito, the topic of finding a way to cool off will undoubtedly arise to the surface of most conversations. But while the municipal swimming pool would most likely be the usual response in most cities, that will not and has not been the case here.  The city pool has become nothing more than a nostalgic memory for most folks after closing shop approximately six years ago due to much needed repairs.  And the question of ‘what happened to the pool?’ still remains one of the most commonly asked questions around this time of year.

    Whats wrong with this picture.The city can’t afford to fix the public swimming pool,the streets,the water plant,but can afford to get government grants for museums,and contemplate building a city sponsored mall along the Resaca.
    Somebody has completely different priorities than the average citizen that lives here,and I don’t think it is the rich people,rather the poor stealing from the poor.
