It’s always good to erase a bad memory with a good one.

And the San Benito Greyhounds were able to do just that on a special night for many.

Behind a hitting barrage and solid fundamental play across the diamond, the ’Hounds had no problems dispatching of Brownsville Rivera in an 11-1 pounding that was called after six innings on Thursday night. The win avenged an error-filled loss at Harlingen South on Tuesday night and closed the first round of District 32-6A play on a solid note.

It indeed was a great night for San Benito (8-6 overall, 3-4 district) as the team celebrated Parent’s Night with festivities including great performances from the Dr. C.M. Cash Elementary Honor Choir and Miller Jordan Middle School ROTC.
