Early mornings and late nights are a daily routine for 14-year old sports phenom Nathaniel Garcia. Garcia, an 8th-grader at Berta Cabaza Middle School who stands a whopping 6’ 1,” has been seen out on the playing fields ever since age five, always sporting his favorite number, “Number 6.” “(I wear it) Because in the military they say, ‘I’ve got your six,” Garcia proudly stated. And upon talking to the young sports prospect, it is clear having his team-mate’s “six” is what he is all about. “Whenever someone needs help with something, I’ll go and help them,” he noted.
