Norma Linda Torres

Norma Linda Torres, 52, of San Benito, Texas, was called home by our Lord on Saturday, May 30, 2015.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, aunt and friend. She loved music, she loved to sing, dance, and entertain her family at family gatherings. Her heart of gold was one of a kind. She never judged or spoke of anyone negatively. She graduated from San Benito High School in 1981, attended a vocational school for a couple of years. She recently began to work with St. Theresa Catholic Church as a volunteer. She was loved by many and will be dearly missed.
Norma is preceded in death by her parents, Benito and Guadalupe Torres, and her brother, Benito Torres, Jr.
Left to cherish her memories are her children: Veronica Michelle Rodriguez, Manica Marie Torres, and David Anthony Torres; siblings: Cecilio (Amanda) Torres, Maria Elena Rubio, Maria Del Carmen Gonzales, Leticia (Frank) Lopez, Connie Garcia, Minerva Weaver; one grandchild, David Anthony Solis, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2015, from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae Garza Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 5, 2015 at St. Theresa Catholic Church, with burial to follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito, Texas.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Rudy Lee Rubio, Carlos Gonzales, Christopher Gonzales, Michael Torres, Victor Weaver, and Eddie Gomez.
