Sharon Goode Ballenger

Sharon Goode Ballenger died on Monday, July 13, 2015, in San Antonio, Texas, at the young age of 62. She was Ballenger, Sharonborn on December 29, 1952 in San Benito, Texas to Robert Henry Goode, Sr. and Merle Cowart Goode.
Sharon joined USAA Real Estate Company in 1990. In her current position as managing director of marketing, Sharon was responsible for providing a full range of marketing and advertising services for all USAA Real Estate Company lines of business to include development, investor services, asset management, property management, leasing acquisitions and dispositions. Sharon is also responsible for all internal and external business communications. On an annual basis, her department also implemented all customer satisfaction surveys for the company. Sharon has over 36 years of experience in real estate marketing. Prior to joining USAA, Sharon was director of marketing from 1982 to 1990 for the Duke Companies, a multi-family development company. In this role, she had a number of responsibilities which included the coordination of all marketing and advertising programs, the supervision of sales and leasing personnel, the coordination of all interior design needs and she also served as corporate liaison between construction and on-site management on newly constructed projects. Prior to that, Sharon was responsible for the full scope of office operations for Ballenger Paving Company, a family owned highway construction business. From 1974 to 1976, Sharon was a secondary English teacher. Sharon is a graduate of the Pan American Campus of the University of Texas in Edinburg, Texas where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in secondary education with a major in English.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Merle Goode.
She was survived by her beloved daughter, Katie Beth Ballenger Ramon and her children, Macie Ballenger, Maddie Ramon and Arthuro Ramon III, as well as her devoted puppies Sammy and Emma. She is also survived by her siblings, Robert (Jeanette) Goode, Jr. of San Benito, Texas; Tommy (Sandra) Goode of Henderson, Texas; Keith (Debra) Goode of Boerne, Texas; and Kathy (Roger) Miller of Dallas, Texas. She is also survived by a large loving family of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 16, 2015 at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
Funeral service is scheduled on Friday, July 17, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. at Porter Loring Mortuary North Chapel.
Graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at 2:00 p.m., with burial to follow at Mont Meta Cemetery in San Benito, Texas.
Honorary pallbearers are her nephews: Allen Goode, Tyler Goode, Wesley Goode, Michael Goode, Steven Goode, Daniel Ballenger, Troy Ballenger, Lance Thompson, Ryan Thompson and Cody Thompson

    The World has lost a person with a diamond of a heart. I shall always remember you your kindness, beauty and true soul. Why do the good ones go ??? A mystery to me. Wherever your are that place is better because of you.
