Anita A. Rivera

Anita A. Rivera, 71, of San Benito, Texas, passed away on July, 31, 2015 in Harlingen, Texas.    
She was preceded in death by her father, Jose Cruz Amaya.
She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Jose Angel Rivera; children: Juan Jose Rivera, Armando Rivera, Rosalinda Acevedo, Alfredo (Rachael) Rivera, and Irene Rivera; her mother, Annita Zapata Amaya; siblings: Reymundo (Janie) Amaya, Juan (Alicia) Amaya, Raul Amaya, Julia Amaya, Josie Amaya, Sandra (Rudy) Morado, and Ben Amaya; 20 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and other family.
Visitation was held on Monday, August 3, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a holy rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito.
A funeral mass was held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at St. Benedict Catholic Church. Interment followed at San Benito City Cemetery.
