Maria D. Saldivar

SAN BENITO—Maria D. Saldivar, 95, went to be with our Lord on Sunday, August 2, 2015, at her residence in San Benito surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 19, 1919. Maria was the last surviving member of the Manuel and Simona Vasquez Family.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Isabel Saldivar, Sr.; a daughter, Eva Villalobos; five brothers; and three sisters.
Maria is survived by her children, Isabel Saldivar, Jr. (Petra), Juanita Moreno (Feliciano), Rolando Saldivar, Elvia Quintanilla (Isaias), and Guadalupe Cantu (Guadalupe); 26 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; and numerous great-great grandchildren, nephews, and nieces.
Visitation will begin today, August 5, 2015, from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m., with a prayer of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m.
Funeral mass will be held on Thursday, August 6, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Theresa Catholic Church. Interment will follow to San Benito City Cemetery.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Johnny Saldivar, Felix Luna, Robert Saldivar, Joel Moreno, Noe Quintanilla, and Feliciano Moreno.
