For the first time since 2011, and only the second time in the last decade, the San Benito Greyhounds can call themselves Bi-District champions, claiming the title with a resounding 35-7 victory over the PSJA North Raiders last Friday at Bobby Morrow Stadium. Yes, this has undoubtedly been a season for the ages as San Benito already has their second straight Battle of the Arroyo victory, another 32-6A Co-District title and that Bi-District title under their belt. But another win would put San Benito into the third round of the playoffs for just the second time this century.
This might be the ‘Hounds best shot at reaching the third round of the State playoffs since that 2004 team that ended the season with a 12-1 mark. This year’s squad, which has taken on the moniker of “War Dogs,” sit at 9-2 and will face off with the Laredo Alexander Bulldogs, who finished the season with a 4-6 record before beating McHi last Friday.

Come on Fans you can win this one! Guys remember it only a game. You beat Harlignen thts all that matters . Man that was a game you all played your best and swarmed on defense you never let us down when you play Harligen it seems all your energy and excellance is only played for that game. Some saying lets kck a fiel goal to tie the game instead of going for two in the last seconds to win the game. It’s like go for it all you go in there to win not to in there just go home. I hear there is nothing wrong with wanting to go home I also want to go home and take a nap. So go out there have fun be safe and remember it’s only a game.
