The anonymous caller who phoned in a bomb threat to Riverside Middle School last Wednesday morning is not so anonymous anymore.

Although the suspect has been identified, however, his name and age will not be revealed, nor the extent of his punishment since he is a student/minor.

The District issued the following statement regarding the matter:  “Riverside Middle School officials have addressed the incident in question in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct. San Benito CISD cannot divulge specific details about the incident and/or discuss any disciplinary action taken against the student involved due to the district’s strict adherence to the Family Educational Rights and Privacy (FERPA) Act.”

The same reason the police and press don’t release info about minors Is the same reason the district didn’t release info about the minor. Simply put. No story here.
