Police confirmed Tuesday that the baby that was taken to ICU last week died several days later.  The investigation is ongoing.

(Original Story) – A San Benito mother is being investigated by local authorities after a nurse at Valley Baptist Medical Center reported what she believed to be signs of neglect on a 2-month-old baby that was making his second visit to the emergency room in just the past two months.

San Benito Interim Police Chief Michael Galvan confirmed that Cynthia Montoya, 34, is being investigated in connection with the incident, but no charges have been filed against the mother of five at this point. The father of the children does not live with Montoya and the other kids were said to be with a relative.

Wow really sad. But why only investigate the mother. If i were the investigator id also investigate Valley Baptist they are a very unprofessional hospital worst ever. They should be investigated too for neglecting patients. as well as patient confidentiality and quality patient care.
