After months of campaigning, the unofficial results for the Cameron County runoff elections are finally in.
Eddie Trevino was able to hold off Dan Sanchez for the Democratic nomination for County Judge by garnering over 52% of the vote. In total, Trevino tallied 9,163 votes to 8,184 votes for Sanchez. It was a closer race than the first election back in March, when Trevino beat Sanchez by more than 2,000 votes.

Hey Dan…you were absent for half of the commissioners meetings, the taxpayers needs such as road repairs fell on deaf ears, and your self-righteous and self-serving behavior finally caught up with you. I hear you are a lousy attorney also. It is not too late to go back to school. I understand Stripes is hiring in Brownsville. I guess you are going to have to work for a living now. Maybe you can find work that doesn’t require you to stand for more than five minutes at a time.
