Francisco U. Sierra

Francisco U. Sierra, 79, of El Ranchito, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Sierra was the world’s best dad and loving grandfather. He was hard working and dedicated to his family’s well-being. He will be dearly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hiliberto and Isabel Urdiales Sierra; and six siblings.
Surviving him is his wife, Estela L. Sierra; one son, Gilberto (Elizabeth) Sierra; five daughters: Sylvia (Cruz) Garcia, Norma (Jesus) Rodriguez, Diana (Jose G.) Becerra, Marvelia Garcia, and Odilia (+Ruben) Avalos; 20 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren. Also surviving Mr. Sierra are three siblings: Domingo Sierra, Concepcion Rios, and Tomasa Cantu.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home. Visitation will continue on Sunday, June 5, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a holy rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home.
Funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 6, 2016 at San Ignacio Catholic Church in El Ranchito, Texas. Interment will follow at Sierra Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers are Kevin Cortez, Cruz Garcia, Jr.; Ruben Avalos, Jr.; Roberto Avalos, Jose G. Becerra, Jr.; Gilberto Becerra, David Andrade, and Charles Rodriguez.
