In the early morning hours of July 16, Nahomi Rodriguez, a 19-year-old San Benito native, got out of work at a McDonalds in Harlingen and called her parents to let them know she had a ride home. Rodriguez has not been heard from since. Despite the long span without a single clue, the family of Rodriguez is not giving up hope of finding the teenager and is actively reaching out to anyone who will listen for help.
This past week, the search for Rodriguez got a boost when the Nancy Grace Facebook page shared a post asking for help finding the missing girl. While the case is starting to gain attention in the national media, there is still a lack of clues or leads for authorities to act on. A few days after Rodriguez was reported missing, a tape came out showing Rodriguez at the drive thru of McDonalds just minutes before her shift was over. She was shown talking to an older male in a light gray newer model SUV. Later, that same SUV is shown picking up Rodriguez and driving off. No license plates were visible.
