A 27-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday after his son allegedly took ecstasy pills to school and handed them out to classmates.

“Yesterday (Monday, April 4), a second grader from Frank Roberts Elementary took some pills to school,” said Lieutenant Martin Morales of the San Benito Police Department (SBPD). “He gave two fellow students the pills.”

According to Morales, one of the students took the pill home and showed it to his mother, thinking that the pill was supposed to help him fall asleep. The mother became suspicious and did some research on the pill, determining that the pill was allegedly ecstasy.

“She went to the school and reported it. They brought in the kid who delivered the pills, and they questioned him. The seven-year-old boy said that he took it from his father’s stash without his father knowing about it,” said Morales.
