Bobcats logoLA FERIA – Ask any Bobcat fan who attended Friday night’s game and they’ll all say the same thing: Their beloved boys in black and gold not only had to contend with the La Feria Lions but also with the officiating crew.

But regardless of questionable calls throughout the evening, the Bobcats overcame the previously undefeated La Feria Lions, 22-17, to stay unbeaten at 2-0 in District 32-3A.

Both teams came on to the field fired up for the intense match-up, and with La Feria receiving the ball first, the Lions wasted no time and drove the ball into the Bobcat red-zone in a matter of three plays. They were three quick plays that woke up the Bobcat defense, which then put a stop to any hopes for the Lions to score a touchdown and forced them to take a field goal, making the score 3-0 with 10:38 in the first quarter in favor of the Lions.
