Nearly 4k early votes cast in Primaries

Early voting for the 2014 Cameron County and State of Texas Primary Elections began on Tuesday, Feb. 18, for most polling locations.

According to unofficial totals for the early voting turnout as of Thursday, Feb. 20, a total of 3,896 voters have turned out at polling locations in Cameron County. Of the 3,896 total voters, approximately 3,412 are registered with the Democratic Party, and 484 are registered with the Republican Party.

A total of 620 voters turned out to the San Benito Community Building, located at 210 E. Heywood St. in San Benito, 576 registered with the Democratic Party and 44 registered with the Republican Party.
