For decades, the majority of Valley high school football teams have struggled to get past the third round of the playoffs. In fact, last year’s Greyhound team was only the second group from San Benito to reach the regional round of the State playoffs in the last 50 years. Some people say the teams north of Corpus Christi are just too big, too fast, and too strong. Well, a group of former Greyhound standouts and a footwork specialist from Los Fresnos are hoping to change that narrative in the very near future.
